This maturity scale was developed with support from FCM’s Municipalities for Climate Innovation Program (MCIP) to facilitate the self-assessment of your organization’s institutional readiness and progress in adapting to climate change. The scale draws from publicly available adaptation literature and FCM’s understanding of the processes needed to incorporate climate change risk into asset management, infrastructure investments and maintenance,
and municipal organizational planning.
